Methacrolein
Methacrolein is an organic compound with the structural formula CH2=C(CH3)CHO. The appearance is light yellow liquid with a strong pungent odor. Slightly soluble in water, easily soluble in ethanol and ether. Moderately toxic. Mainly used in the manufacture of copolymers and resins. It is a raw material for the production of methacrylic acid and a raw material for thermoplastic monomers.
